The Student Partnership Agreement sums up our expectations and expectations of each other at the University of Birmingham City. The ANU ACADEMIC Board has approved a student partnership agreement developed between the presidents of their student associations, ANUSA and PARSA, and the pro Vice-Chancellor (University Experience). It was developed in consultation between the students, the two student associations and the university. However, the agreement also contains key areas on which all parties wish to work for the benefit of students. These include improving student representation, helping students undertake reforms in admissions, scholarships and accommodation, as well as other important areas related to student well-being and student learning experience, from the bachelor`s to the postgraduate.

Student partnership agreements are common in the international higher education sector, which comes from Scotland, but Connolly told Woroni that Australia is lagging far behind in this area. In Australia, steps have been taken to adopt partnership agreements for students, the federal government and the University of Technology Sydney, reviewing their implementation in Australia. Connolly said there were clear studies that showed that partnerships “are beneficial for the quality of learning and for a broader university experience.” But Connolly said the real evidence that the agreement has changed the interactions between universities and students will be “how the projects that are committed will be implemented.” Although they were written in a Scottish context, they contain many useful ideas and models that can be used to establish agreements within Australian institutions.
